We understand that it’s important to you to stay in a comfortable and safe environment where you can study, relax and feel at home. English Language Company offers you a choice of quality accommodation options to suit your needs and your budget.

 

• Homestay

Staying with one of our friendly homestay families gives you the chance to experience the typical life of an Australian family. It’s also a great way to improve your English by speaking with the family. Families are carefully selected for their warmth and genuine interest in the students’ wellbeing.

Homestay Features

Single or double bed, All linen provided, Furnished, Desk, Breakfast & dinner every day, Lunch at the weekends, Laundry, Internet upon request, 30 to 60 min from college

Quality standards

We have a dedicated Homestay coordinator who ensures that our students are always taken care of. We regularly inspect homes to ensure that the high standards are maintained. We actively collect feedback from all students about their stay with their host family to ensure that they feel comfortable and welcome.

Homestay requirements & preferences

At the time of enrolment, we will need to know your homestay requirements before we can arrange the placement. ELC can also organise homestay placements for students with special needs such as specific dietary requirements, executive homestay, or room with private bathroom.

2019 price:

Placement fee - $250

Transfer from the airport to your Homestay (optional) - $160

Weekly homestay fee is $315/w for a single room and $290/w for twinshare pp

Breakfasts and dinners included, as well as lunch on the weekends.

You will need to purchase weekly travel tickets to commute to school.

Internet access $10/w payable directly to the host family. Wi-Fi is available at the school for free.

 

• ELC Premium Apartment

Stay in our 6-bedroom premium apartment in the city centre. Located inside a large and modern international student residence you have all the benefits of communal living with the privacy of your own ensuite single room. The residence is located only a 10-minute walk to ELC, close to public transport, shops and cinemas and offers amazing facilities.

• Study House–Student Houses

Study House is located near beautiful Darling Harbour, and only a 10-minute walk to ELC and the city centre. Study House offers 3 student houses, located next to each other. The 3 houses are very similar and all very modern and comfortable.

Fully equipped kitchen, 1.5 to 2 bathrooms, Coin-operated laundry, 10-minute walk to school, 3x week cleaning by staff, 1 computer per house, Free Wi-Fi, Secure access, House manager on call

The Haven - Girls only

One of the student houses is exclusively for female students. Come and enjoy the extra comfort and safety of a girls-only accommodation option.

• Cozzy Stay–Student Houses

The CozzyStay student houses are fully furnished and well-equipped shared houses for international students. They are newly renovated, welcoming and located in popular and safe areas.

Arrival procedures

Airport transfer is compulsory for this accommodation option since Cozzystay staff will pick you up.

Kingsford

Next to the University of New South Wales main campus, with many students facilities

20-30 minutes to the city centre and to ELC (15-minute bus ride plus 5-15 minute walk). Frequent express buses

15 minutes to the beach by bus.

• Link2–Student Houses

The Link2 student houses are located on George street in the city centre and a 10-minute walk to ELC. They are modern, fully-furnished and well-equipped shared houses for international students.

• Glebe YHA–Long Term Hostel

The Glebe YHA hostel accommodates ELC students, but also travellers and Working Holiday makers. It is located in Glebe, which is a very young neighbourhood within walking distance to the University of Sydney and a 10-15 minute bus ride to school. In the area you will find many pubs, cafes, weekend markets and a park overlooking the Sydney Harbour.

Other accommodation options

You may wish to find your own accommodation such as a room in a shared house. Our accommodation manager may be able to assist and give you tips. ELC also has a bulletin board where people may advertise rooms for rent.
