The Diploma in Information Technology (IT) is equivalent to the first year QUT’s Bachelor of Information Technology (IN01) and Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments (IN05). Successful graduates will be guaranteed entry into QUT’s Bachelor of Information Technology or Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments.
You will learn through university style lectures, tutorials and workshops with a focus on the development of independent learning skills. Smaller class sizes mean you get more individual attention from your teachers.
Graduates of this course may seek entry to general IT fields or continue their studies with the Bachelor of IT, leading to a successful IT career. Some examples are listed below.
Students must have a pass in Australian Year 12 or equivalent and meet the English language proficiency requirements.

Submit an application for study through the QUT Application Portal or via an authorised QUT representative, such as IDP. You will need to pay an application fee of AUD $100 and submit your high school completion certificate, academic transcripts and records, English language proficiency test results, reason for study (Statement of Purpose), and passport identity page.
