The Academy of Interactive Entertainment specialises in game development, 3D animation and visual effects education, with study spanning diplomas, advanced diplomas and a graduate diploma. Its Australian campuses are in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Canberra, and its course profile sits across creative arts, information technology and education.
AIE is a private specialist provider focused on the production disciplines used in games and screen-based digital media. Its programmes are built around areas such as game programming, game art and animation, rather than a broad university faculty structure. The provider also runs training for educators through its graduate-level study.
In Melbourne, AIE teaches from the World Trade Centre on Siddeley Street. Its Sydney locations are in Ultimo, while Adelaide teaching is based in the city centre and the Canberra campus is in Watson. The academy’s qualifications are designed for entry into specialist production roles in the games, animation and visual-effects sectors.
