CRICOS Code 01611J
Prescott College teaches secondary school years in South Australia, with senior secondary study alongside junior secondary programmes. It is a private school in the Adelaide area, rather than a large multi-campus institution, which can matter for families looking for one consistent school community through the later school years.
The college is part of the Seventh-day Adventist education system, so its Christian setting is likely to be central to everyday school life rather than an optional extra. Its secondary education combines general classroom learning with the preparation required for South Australian senior schooling. Adelaide offers a manageable capital-city setting, with suburban neighbourhoods, public transport and access to the city centre without the scale of Sydney or Melbourne.
This will suit international families seeking a faith-based Australian secondary school and a clear progression from Years 7–10 into Years 11–12. It may be less suitable for those who want a secular school environment or a very large campus with a broad specialist subject selection. As schooling involves day-to-day pastoral care as well as academic study, families should make sure the college’s religious expectations and support arrangements fit their plans.
