  • NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 4)

In some cases, relevant experience and on-the-job training may be accepted in lieu of the formal qualifications listed above. However, additional experience and/or training may be required alongside the formal qualification.

  • Setting up and monitoring fitness equipment, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
  • Teaching and advising on the proper use of fitness equipment.
  • Ensuring clients are aware of and adhere to safety and injury prevention procedures.
  • Reporting accidents and preparing accident reports.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of current health and safety standards and ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Maintaining current first aid certifications.
