ANU InSpace - Infrared technology powering land and space innovation

Researchers at ANU are testing emerging infrared technology that will allow a small space telescope on the International Space Station to look for water absorption in nearby stars. Ultimately, this could give Australia sovereign capability in the near-infrared which allows for better Earth observation, and smaller, less expensive infrared satellites and satellite constellations. These smaller, more agile missions can allow us to respond more quickly to the world around us.
